Newsletter 20.01.2017

It has been sensory overload in F2 this week with the children enjoying bathing babies, washing boats, and experimenting with gloop, clay and floam. While exploring these different textures the children are broadening and learning new vocabulary to support their developing observational skills and also questioning.  This theme continued during Splash Pool sessions as the children experimented using water wheels.

The three carpet groups enjoyed their first ‘All About Me' show and tell time.  Each week different children will bring the bag home on Monday and choose a toy to share with their group on Tuesday.  Thank you Milky, TinTin and Bao Nhi for starting us off, great job talking about your toys and sharing them with the group.  We enjoyed looking and listening.

The creative area has been a hive of activity this week, with the children making Tet related crafts. The children are very proud of what they have made and we hope you will enjoy displaying their work at home, perhaps for many Tet celebrations yet to come :-)  Next Monday we will have a Tet Celebration activity afternoon, please read the posters attached for more information.

On Wednesday the children enjoyed our EYFS Sports Day at APP.  They participated in different physical activities, challenging themselves, developing perseverance, risk taking and sportsman ship skills. Thank you for supporting your children during this exciting event.

Next week is a short week with school breaking up for the Tet holiday on Tuesday 24th January.  We hope you have restful holiday and we look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 6th February.
